History of the business
Established in March 1962, Yuen Tong Hong was part of a trade union comprising purely of hardware merchants dealing in iron and brassware for the carpentry, building and engineering industries.
The business moved to Victoria Street in 1975 and thereafter to the current location in Veerasamy to make way for the current Bugis Junction.
Our founder and grandfather Ng Kai Tong was an immigrant from China who established the business and our father Ng Kah Weng was running the business till he passed away in late 2016.
